Members of Cigar City Brewing’s 2019-2020 El Catador Club may have more than one Marshal Zhukov’s variant to call their own.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Tampa, Fla.-based brewery is working on releasing Marshal Zhukov’s Double Envelopment, a Russian imperial stout aged in both rum and sherry barrels. The new stout will be packaged in 750ml bottles as part of Cigar City’s 2019-2020 El Catador Club, which includes seven different barrel-aged releases for members throughout the year.

As the name suggests, the base beer is the Tampa, Fla.-based brewery’s Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout (11.5 percent ABV), and there have been a number of variants released over the years, including Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push Imperial Stout, Vanilla Hazelnut Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout and Double Barrel-Aged Marshal Zhukov’s aged in both bourbon and rum barrels that was an El Catador exclusive release in 2017.

Earlier this year, the brewery also filed a label for another Marshal Zhukov’s 2019-2020 El Catador exclusive variant named Victory Parade, a Russian imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with cacao nibs, figs and marionberries.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
