In the past, fans hoping to get into Cigar City Brewing’s El Catador Club had to sign up for a lottery and hope for some good luck, but no more.

That is because the Tampa-based brewery has decided to forego the lottery process that it has historically used and has instead made access available to the public on its website for whoever wants to sign up. There are two different packages available for the ninth incarnation of the club, both of which include the same beers, but the first package priced at $250 includes only one of each release while the second packaged priced at $500 includes two bottles of each release.

According to the Cigar City website, members of the 2018 El Catador Club will receive seven different 750ml bottles of barrel-aged beer, all of which will be collaborations with other breweries around the country.

“We’ve had the honor of developing recipes with some of our dearest friends in the craft beer industry and have built this Club edition around these collaborations,” reads the post. “The 9th Edition of the Club will feature collaborations between Cigar City Brewing and seven breweries that we’ve grown with, learned from and with whom we’ve had the pleasure of sharing our brewhouse with.”

The seven different collaboration beers will be brewed with these breweries:

  • Cycle Brewing
  • Funky Buddha Brewery
  • Bottle Logic Brewing
  • J. Wakefield Brewing
  • 7venth Sun Brewery
  • 3 Sons Brewing Co.
  • Angry Chair Brewing

Members will also get a 20 percent discount in Cigar City’s tasting room and a club-exclusive gift. In addition, “additional benefits and rewards will be announced as the club develops but rest assured that El Catador Club members will have access to exclusive events and beer not offered to the general public.”

Finally, members can choose to pick up their bottles at either Cigar City’s taproom in Tampa or at the Oskar Blues taproom in Boulder, Colorado and the brewery is allowing trustees to pick up member’s allotments.
