Cerebral Brewing will have two brand new bottled beers for fans to take home during the Great American Beer Festival next week.

The first new creation is Vanilla Rye Here Be Monsters, a 13.5 percent imperial stout that has been aged for 22 months in 10-year-old Vermont rye whiskey barrels with a blend of Madagascar Bourbon, Tahitian and Ugandan Vanilla beans at a combined rate of 1.5 pounds per barrel. This will be the fourth variation of Here Be Monsters brewed with vanilla, although previous versions were aged in different barrels for shorter periods of time and none featured three different types of vanilla beans.

In addition, Cerebral will be releasing a collaboration with Our Mutual Friend Brewing named Case Study, a 7.2 percent ABV wild lager aged in second-use Chardonnay wine barrels for 11 months on a blend of cultures from each brewery. The breweries then added yuzu juice and tangelo zest before the beer was bottle conditioned for 11 months with Colorado wild honey.

According to Cerebral, Vanilla Rye Here Be Monsters will have a retail price of $25 each with a two bottle per person purchase limit while Case Study will cost $12 per bottle and will be limited to three bottles per person. Interested parties will have the chance to order tickets redeemable for bottles on Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. via Eventbrite with bottle pickups starting at the Denver-based brewery on Oct. 4 and no proxies will be allowed.
