Casey Brewing and Blending has brewed a collaboration with Rockslide Restaurant & Brewery out of Grand Junction, Colo.

Troy Casey, owner of Casey, told Tenemu that there were will two different beers, each of which are using the same wort base that was hopped “intensely” in the last five minutes with simcoe, citra and centennial hops. The wort was brewed on May 27 and each of the breweries are finishing their own version of the beer at their respective breweries. Rockslide’s final version of the beer will be a “hop flavor forward pale ale,” while Casey’s incarnation will be a “tart and rustic… hoppy farmhouse ale” that comes in at 6.5 percent ABV and incorporates his saison cultures.

While some details such as names and release dates are unknown at this time, Casey’s version will be packaged in 750ml bottles and will be available “when it’s ready.”
