Cascade Brewing will be releasing a brand new beer tomorrow which is a twist on one of their classic offerings.
The Oregon-based brewery has concocted a variation of its award-winning Bourbonic Plague blend, this time adding new ingredients to the mix. The new beer, Mayan Bourbonic, is a sour imperial porter that was aged in Bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years before being infused with Peruvian cocoa powder, Ceylon cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and dates. The beer, which was brewed in 2017, will be released as part of the Northwest Sour Series.
The beer clocks in at 11.7 percent ABV and will be sold in 500ml bottles with bottles available at the brewery starting tomorrow and eventually throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint.
