Cherries and chocolate has long been a favorite treat for many people and a new bottled release from The Bruery will highlight the combination.
Next month, the Placentia, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing Cherry Chocolate Rain, a 19 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs sourced from TCHO Chocolate in San Francisco, tart cherries and vanilla beans before being aged in bourbon barrels. The stout uses The Bruery’s Black Tuesday as its base and debuted as a draft-only option in 2016, although this will be the first time it has been packaged.
According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Cherry Chocolate Rain will be packaged in both 750ml and 375ml bottles.
In an email, Joel Kennedy, marketing manager at The Bruery, told Tenemu that Cherry Chocolate Rain is scheduled to be released “likely in April” and will be a Reserve Society and Hoarders Society member exclusive when it is released.
