Breckenridge Brewery is bottling a variant of one of its IPAs that includes a twist.
The release is 471 Over the Moon, a combination of two different beers: 75 percent of 471 Small Batch double IPA (9.2 percent ABV) and 25 percent of an oatmeal stout, with the resulting mix aged in whiskey barrels before being bottled. While it has not been packaged before, 471 Over the Moon was first released by the Littleton, Colo.-based brewery as a draft-only option in 2014.
According to a beer label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), 471 Over the Moon will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
