Last night, the Kansas City Royals won the 2015 World Series, today Boulevard Brewing Co. has announced it will be releasing Crown Town Ale for the second time.

The beer will remain a 6.2 percent ABV golden ale brewed with pale, Munich and honey malts as well as magnum, lemondrop, Saphir, and northern brewer hops. In addition, dried orange peel was added to the wort at the end of the boil.

This is the third time Boulevard has produced a beer based on a local sports team’s achievements. In 2013, the brewery released Championship Ale, which was brewed to commemorate Sporting Kansas City’s win over Real Salt Lake in the MLS Cup playoffs. Last year, the brewery produced Crown Town Ale for the first time to commemorate the fact that the Kansas City Royals played in the 2014 World Series. Due to marketing restrictions, there is not Royals logo on the bottle.

According to a post on Boulevard’s website, Crown Town Ale will again packaged in 750ml bottles when it goes on sale on Dec. 15. Bars in the Kansas City area can expect kegs to begin arriving on Dec. 14. However, unlike the first release of the golden ale which was only sold in the greater Kansas City area, the newest incarnation will be available in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
