After adding four new states to its distribution territory in as many months, Boulevard Brewing Co. is doing it again.
The Kansas City, Mo.-based brewery has announced that Ohio will be the newest market to sell its beer on retail shelves and on taps across the state, with distribution starting in January of next year.
“Ohio is a great beer market,” said Steve Mills, Boulevard’s vice president of sales, in a press release. “With the ongoing expansion of our brewery, it’s time for us to get off the sidelines and into the game.”
According to the brewery, who will be partnering with Cavalier Distributing, there will be several year-round options available for consumers in the Buckeye state, including 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer, Pop-Up I.P.A. and Unfiltered Wheat Beer. In addition, Boulevard’s year-round Smokestack Series along with some seasonals and limited edition releases that will be introduced as they are released.
Earlier this year, the brewery announced a variety of updates in the form of the Cellar Five project which is expected to increase the brewery’s capacity by 40 percent in some areas.
