After posting its 2015 release calendar earlier this month, Boulevard Brewing Co. has released details on one of the first new beers in 2015.
Named The Calling, the 8.5 percent ABV IPA will be an addition to the Kansas City, Mo.-based brewery’s year-round Smokestack Series, which includes both limited releases and year-round beers. Coming in at 75 IBUs, the IPA is brewed with two different malts as well as a blend of Amarillo, bravo, cascade, equinox, galaxy, mosaic, simcoe and topaz hops.

“The Calling…is the result of several months of hard (delicious) work by our brewing team who sought to create an IPA with a juicy, tropical fruit aroma that leaps from the glass,” reads a post on the brewery’s website.
According the brewery, The Calling is scheduled to be released on draft in January, with four packs of 12-ounce bottles to follow “soon” after.
