A new beer from Boulevard Brewing Co. is aged in two very different barrels before being blended together.

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Kansas City, Mo.-based brewery will be releasing Changeling, a 7.1 percent ABV “dark sour ale” that is a blend of beers that have been aged in both wine barrels and whisky barrels as well as inoculated with brettanomyces yeast.

Changeling will be packaged in 750ml bottles and Boulevard’s 2017 Release Schedule indicates that it will be released in April 2017. An email sent the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
