Boulevard Brewing Co. is working on yet another version of its most popular wheat ale.
The Kansas City, Mo.-based brewery has filed a label with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) for Unfiltered Honey Wheat, a 4.4 percent ABV American wheat ale brewed with honey and “natural flavor” that will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. As the name indicates, the base beer is Unfiltered Wheat Beer, an ale that has been on Boulevard’s year-round lineup for more than 10 years.
Last year, Boulevard filed a label for Unfiltered Dry Hopped Wheat, another 4.4 percent ABV version of the same base beer that is dry-hopped with Amarillo hops before being packaged in 12-ounce cans.
An email sent to the brewery for information about the timing of this release and distribution details was not returned.
