In two days, Bottle Logic Brewing is bringing back one of its barrel-aged American strong ale-style creations after a three-year hiatus.

That beer is Stronger Than Fiction 2020, a 13.43 percent ABV American strong ale aged in “a blend of bourbon barrels” and conditioned on raw coconut and Brazil-Minas coffee beans roasted by Orange, Calif.-based Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders.

There have been two earlier incarnations of the ale released: the debut version was sold in 2016 and was aged in bourbon barrels; while the followup in 2017 was aged in both bourbon and rum barrels and conditioned on both coconut and coffee beans sourced from Coldbot Coffee in Orange, Calif.

According to Bottle Logic, Stronger Than Fiction 2020 will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($21.95) and interested parties will have the chance to order tickets redeemable for bottles on Nov. 18 via Eventbrite with a purchase limit to be announced at a later date.

In addition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bottle Logic is allowing proxies for this release as long as the proxy’s name and information is added at the time the tickets for the beers are purchased.
