A brand new joint effort between Bottle Logic Brewing and Horus Aged Ales gets its name from a popular comedy movie.
That beer is Weight Ratios 2020, a 13.33 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on “hundreds of pounds of roasted hazelnuts” before being “tempered with a tropical combination of fresh and toasted coconut.” The name of the beer references a situation that takes place in the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Weight Ratios 2020 is a member of Bottle Logic’s Stasis Project Series, which “celebrates the barrel as a fifth ingredient” and includes other notables such as Concentrated Solution 2020 (20.59 percent ABV), Equivalent Dose 2019 (13.49 percent ABV) and Arcane Rituals 2019 (13.59 percent ABV.)
According to Bottle Logic, Weight Ratios will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($23.95) and will have a purchase limit to be determined. Interested parties will have the chance to order tickets redeemable for bottles on April 26 via Eventbrite with bottle pickups starting May 2.
In addition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bottle Logic is allowing proxies for this release as long as the proxy’s name and information is added at the time the tickets for the beers are purchased.
