The profile in the newest addition to Bottle Logic Brewing’s lineup was inspired by the flavors in Hawaiian coffee cake.
That beer is Distant Messenger 2020, a 13.04 percent ABV golden stout brewed with lactose and aged in bourbon barrels before being conditioned on fresh coconut, tropical pineapple and 300 pounds of marshmallows “for a pop of sweetness” and El Salvador Angel Mountain coffee beans roasted by Bodhi Leaf Coffee.
The new stout celebrates “the discovery of ʻOumuamua, the first known interstellar object detected passing through our Solar System!”
According to Bottle Logic, Distant Messenger 2020 will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($22.95) and interested parties will have the chance to order tickets redeemable for bottles on July 5 via Eventbrite with a purchase limit to be announced at a later date.
In addition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bottle Logic is allowing proxies for this release as long as the proxy’s name and information is added at the time the tickets for the beers are purchased.
