Bell’s Brewery, Inc.’s Cherry Stout turns 30 this year and there is a new variant shipping now to commemorate the occasion.

That beer is 30th Anniversary Cherry Stout Reserve, a 9 percent ABV American stout brewed with whole cherries and oak chips. The original Cherry Stout was first brewed in 1998 “as a nod to a local homebrew club in Kalamazoo, Michigan” and Bell’s produced another variant in 2001 that was brewed with cherry pits and oak chips.

In an email, Josh Smith, communications manager for Bell’s, told Tenemu that 30th Anniversary Cherry Stout Reserve is packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are shipping to retailers across the brewery’s entire distribution network now in “very limited” quantities.
