The latest version of Bell’s Brewery’s most popular seasonal release is shipping to retailers next week.

As has been the case in previous years, Oberon Ale is a 5.8 percent ABV American wheat ale that was named after a character in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” First released by the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based brewery in 2002, Oberon joins three other seasonal releases on Bell’s calendar: Smitten Golden Rye Pale Ale (6 percent ABV), Best Brown Ale (5.8 percent ABV) and Winter White Ale (5 percent ABV.)

According to Bell’s, Oberon Ale 2017 will be packaged in 6- and 12-packs of 12-ounce bottles, 12-ounce cans and 16-ounce cans and will be released across the brewery’s distribution network on March 27. In addition, Oberon will be the only Bell’s beer to be sold in 5-liter Mini Kegs this year, which are scheduled to ship to stores in May.
