An amped up version of Bell’s Brewery Inc.’s popular Two Hearted Ale is being released next week.

Double Two Hearted Ale is an 11 percent ABV double American IPA brewed with 100 percent Centennial hops. The ale features two and a half times the hops as Bell’s Two Hearted IPA and was supposed to make its debut in bottles last month, but due to the number of “different brews in the works” the release was pushed to next week.

This release comes on the heels of Bell’s announcement that it will be releasing Light Hearted Ale, early next year, a low calorie version of Two Hearted Ale.

According to a Facebook post and the brewery’s website, Double Two Hearted Ale will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles with a one case per person purchase limit when it is released the Bell’s General Store on Aug. 26. In addition, limited quantities of the IPA will be shipped throughout the brewery’s distribution network starting next week.
