It turns out there will be not one, but two brand new additions to Bell’s Brewery, Inc.’s Hearted Series this year.

That is because the Comstock, Mich.-based brewery will be releasing Black Hearted, a 7 percent ABV black IPA-style ale next month. As the name suggests, the new beer is based on Bell’s Two Hearted Ale, a 7 percent ABV IPA brewed exclusively with Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest.

Black Hearted will be the second new variant of Two Hearted Ale to be released this year, after Bell’s started shipping Light Two Hearted earlier this month, a 3.7 percent ABV IPA that features 110 calories and 8.7 carbs per can compared to Two Hearted Ale’s 212 calories and 17 carbs per can.

According to Bell’s 2020 release calendar, Black Hearted will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that will be sold exclusively at the brewery’s General Store in “celebration” of Valentine’s Day next month.
