Three months after releasing the 2017 version of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Expedition Stout, Bell’s Brewery, Inc. has started selling the beer it is based on.
That beer is Expedition Stout, a 10.5 percent ABV Russian imperial stout that has been one of the Comstock, Mich.-based brewery’s most popular seasonal releases for more than two decades.
According to a post on Bell’s Facebook page, Expedition Stout (2017) is packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and was released at the brewery yesterday. Bottles are expected to begin shipping to retailers across Bell’s distribution network starting this week.
An email sent to Bell’s seeking further detail was not immediately returned.
