Bell’s Brewery, Inc. is bringing back an ale that was first sold almost a decade ago.

The beer in question is Big Head, an 11 percent ABV “San Diego-Style Ale.” The Comstock, Mich.-based brewery released an IPA with the same name back in 2008, when it was produced as part of the Brewers Association’s Craft Beer Wholesalers Conference which was held in San Diego that year.

“What is San Diego Style Ale?” reads the beer label. “It’s an ale made with more attitude than hops. And boy are there a lot of hops.”

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), this incarnation of Big Head will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional brewing, distribution and release information was not immediately returned.
