Just three days after learning Bell’s Brewery, Inc. may be releasing 5L mini-kegs of Hopslam 2021 next year, a new packaging option for the popular ale has emerged.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Comstock, Mich.-based brewery will adding the option of 16-ounce cans for its Hopslam Ale, a 10 percent ABV double IPA brewed six different varieties of hops and honey before being dry-hopped with Simcoe hops.
Hopslam was first released in 2004 packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles, which were changed to six-packs of 12-ounce cans for the first time in 2016. The IPA has historically been released during the month of January.
Earlier this week, a label was approved indicating that Hopslam 2021 may also be available packaged in 5L mini-kegs, which the double IPA has been periodically sold in since 2011.
An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
