This weekend, one of Westbrook Brewing Co.’s most anticipated annual releases will go on sale at the brewery.

The beer is Mexican Cake 2018, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout aged on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks and fresh habanero peppers. Since it debuted in 2012 to celebrate Westbrook’s first anniversary, the stout along with multiple variants have been an annual release.

According to a post on Westbrook’s Facebook page, Mexican Cake 2018 will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be released at the brewery on May 5. While pricing, bottle limits and distribution information has not been announced for the latest version of the stout, last year’s release of Mexican Cake was priced at $15 each, had a six bottle per person purchase limit and was shipped to retailers across Westbrook’s distribution network.
