Racer X, one of Bear Republic Brewing’s most anticipated seasonal releases every year, is set to return to shelves this month.
The recipe for the annually-released double IPA was originally created over 11 years ago by coo and brewmaster Richard Norgrove, and uses Cascade, Columbus and Centennial hops, coming in at 8.3 percent ABV and over 100 IBUs. The beer has won three silver medals and one bronze medal at the Califona State Fair.
“Racer X is one of our most anticipated seasonal releases of the year,” said Peter Kruger, Bear Republic master brewer, in a press release. “This year’s version is drier, and because of this, the hops really pop. I hope people love drinking it as much as we love brewing it.”
Racer X will be available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft in very limited quantities across the Healdsburg, Calif.-based brewery’s distribution network.
