Ballast Point Brewing Co. is saying aloha to a new variant of one of its most popular beers.

Aloha Sculpin is a 7 percent “Hazy” IPA that is brewed with Brux Trols yeast. As the name implies, the new IPA will use the San Diego-based brewery’s Sculpin IPA (7 percent ABV) that was first released in 2006 as its base.

There have been a number of packaged Sculpin variants released over the years, including Grapefruit Sculpin (7 percent ABV), Habanero Sculpin (7 percent ABV) and Unfiltered Sculpin (7 percent ABV.)

According to a label submitted to the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Aloha Sculpin will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
