Another variant of Ballast Point Brewing Co.’s most popular porter is on the way.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the San Diego, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing Coconut Victory At Sea, a 10 percent ABV imperial porter brewed with coffee beans sourced from Caffe Calabria, vanilla and “sweet roasted coconut.” The porter was first released as a draft-only option in 2014, and this will be the first time the beer has been packaged.
This is the second variant of Ballast Point’s popular Victory At Sea porter (10 percent ABV) to be bottled, after Peppermint Victory At Sea (10 percent ABV) was released late last year.
Coconut Victory At Sea will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
