Avery Brewing Co. will soon be launching a new beer as part of a brand new series of releases.
Named Raspberry Sour, the 7.2 percent ABV sour ale is brewed with “Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, imported specialty Belgian malted barley, red raspberries, hops, saccharomyces yeast, brettanomyces yeast, lactobacillus and pediococcus” before being aged in oak barrels. The new beer is the inaugural release in the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery’s Botanicals & Barrels Series.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Raspberry Sour was bottled this month and will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
