Next week, Avery Brewing Co. is countering the Monday blues with the release of one of its most anticipated annual creations.

Pumpkin is a 16.9 percent ABV ale brewed with allspice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin puree before being aged in rum barrels for four months. The ale debuted in 2011, and has been released every year since as part of Avery’s Annual Barrel-Aged Series, which is made up of beers aged in various types of barrels.

According to a press release, Rumpkin 2017 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be released at retailers nationwide starting on Aug. 7. In addition, Avery is also planning a release party for Aug. 14 at the brewery, complete “with a festive, fall-inspired menu that will get guests in the mood for colder weather.”
