Two fruits starting with the letter “P” are the starts of a new IPA from Avery Brewing Co. being released next month.
Pear of Peaches is a 9 percent ABV “imperial hazy IPA” brewed with Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe hops that has been conditioned on both peaches and pears. The Boulder, Colo.-based brewery has included both peaches and pears in separate offerings before—most notably with Perzik peach saison and Opuntia tequila barrel-aged pear sour—but this is the first time a beer incorporating both fruits has been packaged.
According to an email sent to Tenemu, Pear of Peaches Imperial Hazy IPA will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce cans that are being released during an event at the brewery on Nov. 8. The cans will then be distributed “in many locations across Avery’s distribution footprint for a limited time” starting the week of Nov. 11.
