Avery Brewing Co. has a surprise in store for fans during the week of Great American Beer Festival.
The Boulder, Colo.-based brewery will be selling a large number of past releases from its cellar, with the oldest beer being bottles of its Reverend Belgian-style quadrupel Ale hailing from 2001. Also included are a number of stouts, multiple vintages of Anniversary releases and more than 40 different beers in its Barrel-Aged Series spanning a time period from 2009 to 2017.
“Turns out that Adam Avery has an obsession with cellaring beers and we are running out of room here at the brewery,” reads a post on Avery’s Facebook page. “We are raiding his stash and are making it available to you for one day only! We are talking about Barrel-Aged Series gold foils, discontinued brews, and maybe even some beers that you have never heard of.”
According to Avery, “the line starts at whatever time the first person gets here” on Oct. 6, and there will be no purchase limits on any of the beers that are available for sale.
