The first of Avery Brewing Co.’s Holy Trinity of Ales is getting the canning treatment.
The beer in question is The Reverend, a 10 percent ABV Belgian-style quadrupel ale brewed with Belgian yeast, Belgian malted barley and dark Belgian candy sugar. The ale was first released by the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery in 2002 and is currently available in 22-ounce bottles.
The Reverend is one of Avery’s Holy Trinity of Ales, which also includes Hog Heaven imperial red IPA (9.2 percent ABV) and Salvation Belgian-style golden ale (9 percent ABV.)
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), The Reverend will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
