There are a number of big changes to Avery Brewing Co.’s lineup for this year, including a new year-round release, some new packaging options and a new seasonal Annual Barrel Series beer.
First, the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery will be adding Go Play IPA to its year-round lineup. Packaged in both six- and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, the new IPA with electrolytes is scheduled to be shipped to retailers in May.
Avery’s Limited Release lineup will also be getting an addition named Bug Zapper, a six percent ABV sour ale brewed with mint, ginger, and lime packaged in 12-ounce cans that will be available from May-August.
Next, the retirement of Pump[ky]n last year leaves a hole in the brewery’s Annual Barrel Series that will be filled by Neckbeard’s Revenge, an imperial coconut porter aged in rum barrels packaged in 12-ounce bottles that is scheduled to be released in May.
In addition, there will be between 4-5 releases in Avery’s Barrel-Aged Series, all packaged in 12-ounce bottles, as well as a new Anniversary Edition release named Twenty Five that will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and released in May.
Finally, Joe’s Pils Raja IPA and Perzik Saison are being retired while all four of Avery’s Year-Round Specialty releases will now be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
