Just two weeks after adding L’Eighyore to its most popular series, Avery Brewing Co. is at it again.

The 40th release in the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery’s Barrel-Aged Series will be Scarlata Cucumis, a sour ale aged aged in oak barrels with fresh pressed cucumber juice and hibiscus added. The name of the beer is in two parts: Scarleta is Latin for scarlet, while Cucumis is in reference to a genus of plants native to the warmer parts of the world, including cucumbers and muskmelons.

According to a post on Avery’s website, Scarlata Cucumis will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles ($12) and will have a one bottle per person limit when it is released on Sept. 25 exclusively at the brewery.
