Avery Brewing Co.’s newest Barrel-Aged Series release features a name from a popular stop-motion Halloween movie.

The 51st beer in the series by the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery is Sandy Claws, an 14 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with chocolate and peppermint that has been aged “for months” in bourbon barrels. The name of the beer is taken from the way the citizens of Halloween Town pronounce Santa Claus in Tim Burton’s movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas”.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Sandy Claws will be limited to 1,368 cases of 12-ounce bottles and will be packaged on Nov. 27.

An email to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
