The newest addition to Avery Brewing Co.’s Barrel-Aged Series is inspired by a popular lunch for children.
The 54th beer in the series from the Boulder, Colo.-based brewery will be PB&J Stout, an 13 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with raspberries and peanuts. Total production of the new stout consists of 14 barrels of beer that was packaged in 12-ounce bottles on Aug. 19.
In an email, Krista St. Charles, communications coordinator at Avery, told Tenemu that PB&J Stout will be priced at $12 each and will have no purchase limit when it is released exclusivly at the brewery on Aug. 30.
