Anderson Valley Brewing Co. is adding another gose to its lineup.
The newest beer from the Boonville, Calif.-based brewery is Briney Melon Gose, a 4.2 percent ABV “watermelon ale” brewed with sea salt.
“Born from our passion for experimentation, our Briney Melon Gose boasts a thirst-quenching tartness that is perfectly balanced by subtle watermelon flavors and aromas,” reads the beer label. “Gentle additions of sea salt creat a refreshing harmony between the acidity and fruity sweetness leading to a clean, dry finish.”
The new beer will join three other goses in Anderson Valley’s lineup: The Kimmie, The Yink, & The Holy Gose (4.2 percent ABV), GT Gose (4.2 percent ABV) and Blood Orange Gose (4.2 percent ABV).
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the new Briney Melon Gose will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
