No animals were harmed in the making of Anderson Valley Brewing Co.’s newest bottle offering.
The beer is Horse Tongue, a 5.4 percent Belgian-style wheat ale aged in locally sourced white wine barrels for six months. The wheat beer was first released as a draft-only option by the Boonville, Calif.-based brewery in 2010.
According to a label filed with Horse Tongue will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
