Anderson Valley Brewing Co. will be bottling Gatlin Damnosus, an 11.5 percent ABV sour barleywine that has been aged in Wild Turkey bourbon barrels for up to two years. The sour ale uses the Boonville, Calif.-based brewery’s Horn of the Beer, an 8.6 percent ABV barleywine, as its base.

Gatlin Damnosus was first released in 2011 on draft.

After years in @WildTurkey barrels, this limited release sour barleywine is coming soon.

In an email, Steve Miller, area sales manager for Anderson Valley, told Tenemu that Gatlin Damnosus is scheduled to be shipped in November or December “with an extremely limited allocation being sent to select (and as yet undetermined) markets” packaged in 22-ounce bottles.
