One of Anchor Brewing’s oldest releases is getting a new variant.
The beer in question is Coffee Porter, a 5.5 percent ABV porter brewed with Four Barrel Flash-Chilled Coffee, a blend that was developed specifically for this release. Coffee Porter uses the San Francisco-based brewery’s Anchor Porter (5.6 percent ABV) as its base, a beer that was first released in 1972.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Coffee Porter will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
