The newest exclusive for members of American Solera’s Society is being released just in time for Halloween.
According to an email sent to Tenemu, Full Sized Candy Bar 2020 is a 12 percent ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on toasted coconut before being bottled. The new imperial stout is an exclusive release for members of the brewery’s Society club with each member allocated two 500ml bottles, although there was a lottery where 120 additional bottles were sold for $40 each to 120 randomly chosen members.
While an imperial stout with the same name was released last year, that version was a 14 percent ABV imperial stout— based on the brewery’s Life’s Distraction—aged in bourbon barrels for 18 months and conditioned on 500 pounds of toasted coconut.
In addition, American Solera will be releasing Fun Sized Candy Bar, which is the same beer as Fully Sized Candy Bar packaged in 250ml bottles. However, those bottles will be priced at $20 each and sold to the public at the brewery on Oct. 29, with bottle limits set at the time of release based on the number of interested parties that show up.
