The newest creation for members of American Solera’s Society club would be right at home at the breakfast table.
BA Dad’s Makin Breakfast is a 13 percent ABV imperial stout aged for 12 months in a blend of barrels that previously held Balcones Single Malt and Balcones Blue Corn Whiskey Barrels before being conditioned on
Double Shot Guatemalan El Tambor coffee, maple syrup, milk sugar and vanilla beans.
According to the brewery, the new stout uses the same base as Life’s Distraction, an 18 percent ABV barrel-aged imperial stout that was sold as a member exclusive in July 2018.
The new stout will be an exclusive release for members of the Tulsa, Okla.-based brewery’s American Solera Society club, which debuted in 2016.
According to American Solera, BA Dad’s Makin Breakfast barrel-aged imperial stout will be packaged in 500ml bottles ($50) and is scheduled to be released on Feb. 16 at the brewery, with each society member being allocated two bottles. There will also be an unspecified number of bottles of the imperial stout that will be sold for $50 each exclusively to members with a purchase limit that will be determined by the number of people who attend the release in person, with not proxies allowed.
Finally, any bottles that remain after the in-person release will be for sale online to members on Feb. 17.
