Alpine Beer Co. has added another beer to its year-round lineup with national distribution.
Willy Vanilly is a 5.5 percent ABV wheat ale brewed with Amarillo hops and vanilla that was first released in 2003 by the San Diego-based brewery as a draft-only option that was available exclusively in the taproom.
“After primary fermentation & maturation we add a touch of vanilla extract to compliment the sweet nuttiness of the wheat malt,” said Shawn McIllhenney, Alpine’s head brewer, in a press release. “The result is a very appetizing, aromatic vanilla infused American Wheat Ale. Amarillo hops add just a hint of fruitiness through the beer.”
According to a press release, Willy Vanilly will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and will be available across Alpine’s national distribution footprint starting this month.
