Almanac Beer Co. will be releasing Pumpkin Pie de Brettaville, a 7.3 percent ABV farmhouse ale aged in neutral red wine barrels with roasted heirloom pumpkin and spices.

The new beer will be part of San Jose, Calif.-based brewery’s popular Farm to Barrel Series, which began in 2013 with Barrel Noir imperial stout (10 percent ABV) and now encompasses more than 20 different releases. Almanac has released a number of beers under the de Brettaville moniker, including Lavender Honey de Brettaville (7 percent ABV), Peach de Brettaville (6.5 percent ABV) and Elephant Heart de Brettaville (6.5 percent ABV) among others.

According to James Wickboldt, marketing coordinator at Almanac, Pumpkin Pie de Brettaville will be packaged in 375ml bottles as well as on-draft and is scheduled to be shipped to the brewery’s entire distribution network in September.
