Almanac Beer Co. has released two new sour ales, both of which have been conditioned on different fruits.

The first new release is named Mariposa, which translates to butterfly from Spanish. The 7.2 percent ABV dry-hopped sour blonde ale is brewed with brettanomyces before being aged in wine barrels with mariposa plums sourced from Blossom Bluff Orchards in Parlier, Calif. Finally, the sour was dry-hopped with both Citra and El Dorado hops just before being packaged.

In addition, the San Francisco-based brewery has released Foudre Punch, a 7.2 percent ABV sour blonde ale aged in oak foudres for “months” and conditioned on blueberries, cherries and raspberries.

According to a press release, Mariposa and Foudre Punch are both packaged in 375ml bottles and are shipping to retailers across Almanac’s distribution network now in limited quanities.
