Allagash Brewing Co.’s newest ale, Sun Drift, a beer brewed with lemon zest and black tea premiered at the BeerAdvocate’s Extreme Beer Festival last weekend in Boston and is now on its way across the brewery’s distribution footprint in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles.

Sun Drift is brewed with lemon zest before being fermented with saccharomyces and brettanomyces claussenii yeast and then being blended with some Fair Trade Yunnan Black tea from Little Red Cup, of Brunswick, Maine and clocks in at 6.7 percent ABV.

Bottles will be available in the following states:

  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Washington DC
  • Georgia
  • Illinois (Chicagoland only)
  • Massachusetts
  • Maryland
  • Maine
  • North Carolina
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • Virginia
  • Vermont

The beer is slated to arrive at the states above starting this week.
