For the first time ever, an Allagash Beer will be available in cans.

Today, Allagash will release Hoppy Table Beer (HTB) in 16-ounce cans.

HTB is not new to the market and has year-round availability. According to a post on Allagash.com the move towards cans is because, “We’ve taken on a lot of projects around the brewery, from barrel aging, to brewing Coolship beers. We’re at a point where we feel ready to take on the next big challenge, and that challenge is cans.”

Inspired by Belgian low-ABV beers, HTB is a 4.8 percent ABV Belgian pale ale with a stronger hop profile.

The beer has been offered in 12-ounce bottles since it was introduced last January. Pricing is set at $13 per four-pack of 16-ounce cans.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story indicated that pricing was set at $13 per can instead of $13 per four-pack of 16-ounce cans. Tenemu regrets the error. ~BW.
