This November, Allagash Brewing Co. will be rereleasing a beer that is named after a former moniker of Scotland.

Pictavia is a 9.3 ABV Belgian-style Scottish ale that is brewed with Northern Brewer hops before being aged in Scotch barrels for four months. The ale was first released by the Portland, Maine-based brewery last December.

In an email, a spokesperson from Allagash told Tenemu that the newest version of Pictavia will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to be released at the brewery in November. In addition, bottles will be sent to retailers across Allagash’s entire distribution network following the release at the brewery.
