Next week, AleSmith Brewing Co. is releasing a monster variant of one of its most popular stouts.
Sap Ness Monster Speedway Stout is a 13 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee that is a blend of beers aged in two different types of barrels: maple syrup and Islay Scotch barrels.
The stout incorporates the San Diego-based brewery’s year-round Speedway Stout (12 percent ABV) as its base. Speedway Stout was first released in 1999 and has had more than 60 different variants released since that year, including Nibs & Beans Speedway Stout, Hawaiian Speedway Stout and Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout.
According to a post on AleSmith’s website, Sap Ness Monster Speedway Stout will be packaged in two-packs of 330ml bottles that are scheduled to be released at the brewery on Nov. 10.
An email sent to the brewery for information regarding pricing, purchase limits and brewing details was not immediately returned.
