Later this month, AleSmith Brewing Co. will be selling both a new beer and a fan favorite during its first online event of the year.

The first beer to be sold is Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout 2018, a 13 percent ABV Russian imperial stout with coffee aged in bourbon barrels “for an extended period of time.” The release is one of more than 60 variants that uses Alesmith’s Speedway Stout as its base.

In addition, the San Diego-based brewery will be selling Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad, a brand new 12 percent ABV beer. According to the brewery, it is brewed as a traditional Belgian quadrupel before being aged in freshly emptied red wine barrels sourced from the central coast of California.

Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout 2018 and Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad 2018 are both packaged in 750ml bottles priced at $30 and $32 respectively and will be available for purchase via an Eventbrite sale on Jan. 29. Purchase limits are set at four bottles of Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout 2018 and two bottles of Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad.

Bottle pickups will start on Feb. 3 and end on March 18, and AleSmith is allowing proxies although no single person may pickup more than two total orders.
