According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Alesmith Brewing Co. will be releasing Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad, a 12 percent ABV Belgian-style quadruple ale in freshly emptied red wine barrels sourced from California. The new beer uses the San Diago-based brewery’s Belgian-style quadruple ale as its base.

“For this new offering, we wanted to exhibit a fusion between our California heritage and one of our favorite old world beer styles,” reads the beer label. “The result is a complex brew that showcases the rich malt character of a traditional Belgian-style quad with a California twist.”

Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad will be packaged in 750ml bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
